The Costa Blanca

Paragliding weather Costa Blanca

The Costa Blanca has a very reliable and sunny climate all year round with an average of  322 days of sun a year. During the main summer months of July & August we can expect average temperatures of 30 ℃ with many days reaching over 35℃ and even up to 40℃ being recorded. This heat plus other factors in turn create strong thermals and rough conditions during the midday sun, but also gives us the opportunity to fly during the relaxing evening sun and even into the sunset, Not to mention the beautiful mornings! Rain is very rare during this period with an average of 1 day of rain during these months. The wind is also very reliable, with a beautiful, consistent sea breeze there are many flying days to be had, not to mention the 10-11 hours of sunshine per day.

Spring on the Costa Blanca offers amazing flying conditions with better possibilities for XC, with cooler temperatures than the summer months we have more instability, bigger thermals, and a more active cloud base giving you the chance for XC and in general more exciting flying. With an average temperature of 17℃ throughout the Spring months and an average of 11 days of rain, some of the most amazing and best flying days are to be had in this season.

Autumn is much the same as Spring. The average temperature is recorded at a modest 20℃ with an average of 14 days of rain and again we have an active and amazing cloudbase giving some of the best paragliding days also.
